Organisation description

From the BASF Nederland B.V. office in Arnhem, a large proportion of the 9000 BASF products are sold to national and international customers. These products find their way to the consumer market in thousands of ways. This office is also home to a number of service departments, such as Finance & Controlling, Human Resources, Communication, Facilities Management and Legal & Tax.

Function profile

As Accounting Specialist, you will report to the Team Lead Finance & Controlling in Arnhem. You will work from the Arnhem site of BASF Nederland B.V and your tasks will include:

  • The continuous optimization of both trade and non-trade invoicing processes and realization of related key performance indicators in The Netherlands.
  • Preparation of service level agreements and monthly financial accounting of the internal orders for the BASF Arnhem site.
  • Furthermore, you are responsible for monthly financial (cost) accounting & reporting and maintenance of project expenses/fixed assets of the BASF site in Arnhem.
  • Pro-active management of Accounts Payables for the BASF site in Arnhem and contribution to the further optimization of Accounts Payable process in The Netherlands.
  • Monthly reporting and the follow-up of sales control in Arnhem.
  • Ensuring correct product costing & material ledger process for consignment stocks and realize related key performance indicators for BASF in Arnhem.
  • Finally, you will coordinate the preparation of specifications for the year-end close and for auditors and you will ensure the correct accounting and handling of fiscal representation transactions for the Arnhem site.
Function requirements
  • You have successfully completed your bachelor studies in Accounting or Controlling.
  • You have (preferably) gained initial experience in a comparable position in an international environment.
  • You have affinity and preferably experience with data analysis and digitalization.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English is a must.
  • You have experience with IFRS-GAAP and ERP/Finance systems.
